If only houses could talk. I remember as a child my Dad would drive up and down back roads and my Mother would see an old house and get Dad to pull over, we’d crawl through fences, walk thru tall grasses…and go and explore. To this day I still have that urge. Love your site, love your pictures. I was raised in the London Township area, in Thorndale there is a huge old home ( someone lives in it still) but I knew the orginial family from it’s very beginnings. It sits beside the old closed down railway in Thondale. The Helen Wright’s father ran the old Box factory back then. She died at 100 about three years ago, so you can well imagine the age of that home. As a child to me her home was a castle. Loved exploring the rooms…the sliding doors, the parlor….oh the memories.
